14/05/2010 FESTIVAL

Today we had our festival. It was actually good.
It took place in the college garden because many of us preferred there than the hall.
There were so many people that we were always busy.
We shared the roles: some of us had to stay at the area "CD-cover" and explain how we did them, answer at the question that other students were asking, then there were other of us at the area "campaign", "radio play", "Southbank guide". Students were actually interested in our works and they were all happy to have participated at the event.
We also talked to the cooks in the canteen and at the end we were able to sell food outside instead of the canteen.
The event lasted for several hours and at the end we were all satisfied, but also tired.

10/05/2010

The planning and making of the festival are running quickly.
Falak and Susan have finished the web design, Ryan and Reece have finished the posters.
The website is creative and it has examples of our works.
The poster has informations about the festival and it is really creative.
I've gone around in different shops and I got the best prices for our equipment; it was not easy, but at the end, with the list that Patrick and Dennis gave me, I could get everything.
When we had everything we went around the college and we sticked many posters on the notice boards. We handled out flyers and we kept some on the table in the admission's office.

7/05/2010 FESTIVAL

We decided that the festival will take place on the 14th May 2010.
We were also thinking to organize a barbeque and to get someone to do it for us, but at the end we cancelled the idea because the subject would have go through long a process for security, health and safety and to be sure he knows what he is doing. An easy way to shorten this process was to get a professional cook, but our budget might not be able to afford it and however we did not know anyone who might do it for us.
James and Eguono have already started downloading the music, but they had to cancel many songs they decided to get because the lyrics have some swearing and we are not allowed to play such songs.
For informations about our budget I asked Richard if the college s going to afford all our expenses. He told me that the college is not ready to pay much for one program, but also that we just have to moderate the expenses so it will be easier to get what we ask for.

29/05/2010 FESTIVAL

During the meetings we decided that it will be good to show all our works. Patrick and Dennis decided to have several personal meetings because they have the same role. At the end they will be able to give me a list of materials we need so I might understand how much we will need to get them.

26/04/2010 FESTIVAL- PLANNING

Today Richard came from Lewisham to help us.
We were assigned one or two roles each: Susan and Falak have to do the web design for the promotion of the festival; I have to take care of the budget by researching what we will be able to afford; Patrick and Dennis are the technicians and they make sure all we need is available; Tanjiana and Helen are the directors; James and Eguono take care of the music; Reece and Ryan will design the poster for the promotion; Courtney is the producer and she decides what is going to be shown in the festival.
Now that we all know what we have to do we just have to start the planning!

19-04-2010 FESTIVAL

Today we started planning our festival. Our aim is to work together and organize the festival. The festival is for us to show people the works we have done from September to now.
Our next step is to share the roles, so everyone knows what to do.

OPEN REEL TAPE RECORDER

It is also called Reel-to reel audio tape recording. It is the earliest example of tape recorder. It was used to hold recording mediums on a reel, which used to be contained within a cassette.
While it is in use the supple reel that contains the tape is mounted on a spindle, while the end of the tape is manually pulled out of the reel, threaded through mechanical guides and a tape head assembly, and attached to the hub of a second reel.
