CD
CD= Compact Disc
A CD is an optical disc used to store digital data. It was first aimed to store only sound recordings. In time CDs developed and they could preserve other types of data. With the advancement of technology there were also:
- CD-ROM, which is encompass data storage;
- CD-R, which is write-once audio and data storage;
- CD-RW, which is rewritable medias;
- VCD, which stands for Video Compass Disc;
- SVCD, which stands for Super Video Compass Disc
- PhotoCD
- PictureCD
- CD-i
- Enhanced CD
